A little slice of home

Yesterday I was working on a project that required some family photos and so I spent several hours going through old pictures to find "that gem" of a photograph. While I never really found the one I was looking for, I did find this...
and I LOVE it!

I love it because:
  • it is perfectly classic Jack

  • it shows my in-laws' house that everyone just loves (and misses as they currently serve a mission in India)

  • if you could cut a slice of life pie, this feels like it represents our flavor.

Before I even read your reasons I just looked at the picture and thought to myself "Look, that is SO Jack! Oh and look, this is totally Jaime!" That is a great picture of real life.

Why is it making me teary? It really does capture how fun Jack is to be around and easy he is to talk to.

Thank you for my gift!!!! I love it and I love your stationary, too!!!!

I still contest that I posed for this photo. Either way I am seriously too funny.

What to say about all of this. Definitely a Monet except we are not out in the garden. And look how close to the front door we are clustered which means the room is full of the rest of us. Decor over the front door I bought when the Egers came to visit us. Long Christmas ribbon between the two doors on left I bought when we visited the Egers in Germany.
Little black art on the left from Spain when Kalani drove Dad and his injured arm all through Europe. Decorations above our heads made by Bridget. Could go on and on. That room is a little bit of our history.
