Birthdays, First Days, where do I begin?

Happy 10th F!! You know we love you beyond words, see Exhibit A.

Exhibit A. Cookie--all 2 lbs. 2 oz of her.

Poor F had to spend his birthday saying good-bye to summer, hello to school. Fortunately, school to F is what summer is to the rest of us, so he wasn't too disappointed.

And my little, middle, Stevie Wonder. He is too little to be headed off to such a big school. But with his Kermit "I'm a lover not a fighter" backpack on, he marched in ready as ever. As we headed through the doors he pulled me off to the side and pulled me down to his level. He said, "Mom, give me one more big juicy hug before I go." I fought back the tears (yes, I do cry sometimes) until I got back to my car. I am so glad that in my heart and mind though, I know he is where is suppose to be to become who the world needs him to be.

I hope the first day was good for the boys (and you). I was thinking about you and wondering how I will be in 2 years. I'm counting the days in many ways, but yet, where does the time go?

okay, I don't think I am suppose to tear up at a story on a blog. If my child would of said that to me before he went somewhere, I probably would of told him he is not going to school and is going to stay home.
Good luck with the seperation.
