"Who stakes down a tent?"

Campers, that's who. Not Jack--he says it is unnecessary. But alas, as the tent almost blew away this year, F said "Dad agreed and we staked down the tent."
I am so grateful that every year, come hell or high water, Jack makes arrangements to take the boys to the Fathers and Sons campout. Each of them has been attending since they were 1 year old and talk about it all year long. Maybe this will be the year we actually go camping other than the one weekend. (Hopefully not.)

Boys, this is a tradition that is older than you are. Ask your dad about his first Fathers and Sons Camp Out.

I heard something about Ben catching the tent. Glad it all worked out and that the rain held off.

I love this! It is so opposite Jared and John's experience. Jared thought the stakes weren't enough and he tied the tent to the truck and trees surrounding them.

Love the headlights on all of them.

Jack just wanted to make it exciting. There is nothing more exciting than having to catch your tent, right. Other Dads are so boring.

I guess it only takes once to learn that kind of a lesson. Although, something tells me that if it's sunny and nice next year, they still won't do it!

Glad you had so much fun. Sad we couldn't some see you guys but wouldn't want to interrupt a killer girls weekend. We'll catch you in a few weeks.
